Blood Drive & Marrow Registry

The Edina Police Department is holding a blood & marrow drive in honor of Sgt. Steve Stroh, who has courageously battled with Multiple Myeloma—a cancer that affects blood cells, specifically plasma cells that collect in the bone marrow.

After diagnosis, Steve received a Stem Cell Transplant, but has relapsed twice since then. In September, Steve had an allogeneic bone marrow transplant with cells donated from his brother, John.

The department encourages citizens to show support for Steve and help those in need by making a blood donation and signing up for the marrow registry from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011 at Edina City Hall.
