
The Edina, MN-based Braemar-City of Lakes Figure Skating Club (BCLFSC) will host its 4th-annual Holiday Pops Skating Exhibition and VEAP Benefit from 5:40-7:30 p.m. CDT on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011, at Braemar Ice Arena.
Skaters will perform solo, pair, trio, and ensemble numbers. Team Braemar's three synchronized skating teams will also perform, including Team Braemar Junior, reigning National silver medalists and World bronze medalists.
"This will be a great way to celebrate the holiday season and a fabulous winter sport that can be enjoyed year-round," said David Litteken, BCLFSC Past-President and event co-chair, "Better yet, we will be raising money and providing food to families in need during the cold winter months."

Participants and spectators alike are encouraged to bring canned/dry goods and make a $5 financial contribution to Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People (VEAP), which is a local non-profit agency serving low-income families, individuals, elderly, and disabled persons in the communities of Bloomington, Edina, Richfield and South Minneapolis. VEAP provides food pantry, social assistance, and transportation services. The event has raised approximately $5,200 over the past three years.
