Combing Craigslist: Dayton's Bears, Jukebox Alarm Clock

Patch brings you a few interesting items we found for sale on Craigslist.

Let's face it: Craigslist is a bit of a wasteland. With the massive quantity of items for sale on the site, it's sometimes difficult to find the hidden gems.

Fear not, as we here at Patch are doing the hard work of finding unusual, useful or great deals on Craigslist. If you’re interested, all that’s left to do is contact the owner.

A local collector is selling a complete set of Dayton's/Marshall Field's Santa Bears—every year from 1985 to 2005 is included—for $250. The bears are reportedly in excellent condition and come complete with their accessories and bags. They are also from a smoke-free home.

Double the Oven

In the market for a new oven? An Edina seller is offering a Maytag Jenn-Air white double oven for only $225, a fraction of the $2,300 price for a new version of the appliance.

Be alert that it's not in perfect condition. The glass part of the bottom door is missing from the oven, and the digital display doesn't light up, according to the seller. The sellers said neither defect prevents the ovens from working, as they've been using them for six months.

Rock Out

A set of Boston A60 Stereo Speakers can be yours for a mere $60. The speakers work just fine, though the seller notes they likely need to be refoamed.

Lounging Around

A TV/game easy chair complete with a chaise cover is on sale for $95. The "very easy and comfortable chair," supposedly has a hole the size of a dime on it, which can be easily covered with the washable chaise cover.

Jukebox Alarm Clock

A classic rock jukebox alarm clock can rouse you from your warm bed with one of six classic rock songs or a medley of several. The clock looks similar to a jukebox from the 1950s, including flashing green and pink lights.

The alarm plays "Wake Up Little Susie," "Maggie May," "Baby Love," "Baby I Need Your Loving," "Rock Around the Clock" and "Pretty Woman." The seller is asking for $25.

The clock requires three AA batteries and two AAA batteries for backup power. The seller said it's not likely to need backup power, as there is a low battery indicator light on the device.
