Marijuana-Toting Teens Busted After Hours in Normandale Park
A 31-year-old Edina man was also arrested after dialing 9-1-1 to falsely report a crime.

Thursday, Aug. 16
- Police responded to the 7400 block of France Avenue South on a report of a found driver's license.
- Police responded to the 4400 block of Parklawn Avenue on a report of a runaway.
- Police responded to the 7200 block of York Avenue South on a report of attempted motorcycle theft. An unknown person reportedly tried to steal a motorcycle by splicing its wires, but was unsuccessful.
- A 13-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl were arrested for theft, possession of stolen property and giving false names to police after they were observed trying to steal merchandise from . When officers searched the teenagers, the found them in possession of stolen items from several store at Southdale Center. In total, police found $419.56 in stolen merchandise on the girls.
- A 19-year-old Edina man was arrested for possession of marijuana after police responded to a disturbance in the 6600 block of Vernon Avenue South.
- Police responded to the 7500 block of York Avenue South on a report of a verbal domestic.

- Police responded to the 4500 block of Arden Avenue on a report of possible identity theft.
- Police responded to the 5300 block of Edina Industrial Boulevard on a report of a found bicycle.
- Police responded to the 4200 block of Valley View Road on a report of a verbal domestic.
- Police responded to the intersection of 45th Street West and Chowen Avenue South on a report of a found wallet and contents.

Saturday, Aug. 18
- An 18-year-old St. Louis Park man, five 17-year-old boys and one 16-year-old boy were arrested for various charges after police found them in after regular park hours. One juvenile was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, while the others were arrested for curfew violations and being in a city park after hours.

- A 17-year-old by was arrested for a curfew violation after having contact with officers near the intersection of Valley View Road and Brookview Avenue.
