Other facts

I am a lifetime Minnesotan and moved to Edina in 1985. I have been a full-time volunteer since 2001. I am passionate about sidewalks and bike lanes, making it safe for everyone to get out and be active in our community. I am very excited about redevelopment throughout Edina. I appreciate developers who come forward with beautiful, high quality redevelopment plans to beautify and revitalize parts of Edina.

I enjoy partnering with neighboring communities on projects that affect us jointly including do.town to improve the health of Edina, community support for military servicemembers in our community and light rail transportation. I am passionate about the use of alternative energy and I value mature trees in our community which provide shade, clean air and quality of life. I would like to see stronger ordinance language that protects these trees.

I am very proud of city staff members. Their loyalty and dedication to first-rate service and top quality work are apparent throughout our city in its parks, utility services and infrastructure. I am proud to serve on the Edina City Council and wish to serve another term. I work hard to prepare myself to discuss the issues at hand and make the best decision for residents and businesses alike. Please vote for Mary Brindle in 2012.
