Mayor Hovland Leading Telephone Town Hall

The community meeting will allow Edina residents to interact with elected officials from the comfort of their own homes at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16.

Edina residents interested in getting some personal time with Mayor Jim Hovland are in luck, as he'll be hosting a Telephone Town Hall at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16.

The event is being coordinated through the do.town program and will focus on creating healthier communities for everyone.

Residents are invited to take part in the community meeting from the comfort of their own homes. Anyone interested is able to sign up online to receive a phone call connecting them with the live conversation involving both their neighbors and Mayor Hovland.

To get in on the fun, residents simply need to go to www.do-town.org and add their phone number and basic contact information.

Once you're signed up and dialed in, residents can respond to various polls and even connect with an operator to ask a question directly to Hovland. And because it's not taking place in a physical space, there's no limit to the number of Edinans who can take part in the meeting.
