Minneapolis Woman Arrested for Asking Teens to Steal $888 in Clothing

Monday, Jan. 7

• Police responded to a parking lot in the 7100 block of Computer Avenue on a report of theft from auto. Unknown suspects reportedly entered six vehicles parked outside of Alpha Video and Audio and stole tools valued at $10,562.39.
• Police responded to the 6900 block of Washington Avenue on a report of theft and damage to property. Unknown suspects stole a copper pipe and vacuum pump from the building, damaging a water line and causing the structure to flood. The total loss was estimated at $20,000.
• Police responded to the 7300 block of Gallagher Avenue on a report of vehicle theft. A trailer and tools valued at $10,000 were taken a parking lot.
• Police responded to the 6400 block of Timber Ridge on a report of a domestic disturbance.
• John Patrick Maloney, 59, of Edina, was arrested for assault and disturbing the peace in the 5600 block of Blake Road.
• Tyren Demerial Brown, 39, of New Hope, was arrested for no insurance and driving after revocation after a traffic stop near 50th Street and Hwy. 100.

Tuesday, Jan. 8

• Police responded to the 6500 block of France Avenue on a report of a found bicycle.
• Denysha Camille Ward, 19, of Minneapolis, was arrested for aiding and abetting theft and soliciting a juvenile to commit crimes at Southdale Center. Police apprehended Ward, a 17-year-old female and a 14-year-old female after they attempted to steal $888.89 in clothing from JCPenney at Southdale Center. Ward was cited for coordinating the crime, while the juvenile girls were cited for theft by shoplifting.
• Police responded to the CVS Pharmacy on York Avenue on a report of theft. $107.08 in miscellaneous items was reported stolen from the store.
