Novelist/Musician Roma Calatayud–Stocks Reading at Edina Art Center Saturday
The author will read from her book "Song in My Heart," the story of a Mexican woman living in Minnesota in the early 1900s who dreams of becoming an orchestral conductor.

Novelist and musician Roma Calatayud–Stocks will be coming to the Edina Art Center this Saturday as part of the center's celebration of Hispanic Heritage month.
Calatayud–Stocks is the author of “Song in My Heart,” a story of a Mexican woman living in Minnesota in the early 1900s who dreams of becoming an orchestral conductor. Set in the Twin Cities, New York, Mexico and Europe, the novel has won prizes from the Midwest Book Awards and the International Latino Book Awards.
Calatayud–Stocks has also composed and recorded music about the "journey of the heroine on her quest."

Calatayud–Stocks will read from her novel at 10 a.m. Oct. 19 in the Margaret Foss Gallery at the Edina Art Center, 4701 W. 64th St., as part of the center's "Author Studio" series.
