Scorpion Shocks Edina Woman on Front Porch
Kelly Sheehan was visited by the eight-legged arthropod outside of her Edina home.

An Edina woman had an unexpected encounter with an eight-legged visitor recently, when a scorpion came crawling onto the porch of her home.
Kelly Sheehan told the Edina Sun-Current she was talking on her phone one day when she found herself face-to-face with a scorpion.
"I looked down and a scorpion was coming toward my foot," she told the local paper. "I started screaming bloody murder."

The Sun-Current reports Sheehan's husband Dan killed the arthropod with a shovel. They've since placed the 2.5-inch creature into their freezer, in case people who hear the story don't believe her tale.
Check out the full story on the Sun-Current's website, including comments from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources regarding the state's scorpion population.
