Seven Legendary Hornets Join Edina's Hall of Fame
The newest Hall-of-Famers were inducted during a ceremony at the Edina Country Club late last month.

A handful of legendary Edina athletes were inducted into the EHS Hall of Fame late last month, during the 2012 ceremony.
Hundreds of passionate Edina fans gathered at the Edina Country Club on Thursday, Sept. 20, to watch as seven new Hall-of-Famers were honored for their contributions to Hornet athletics over the years.
2012's Edina Hall of Fame class includes the following:

- Mike Carroll: former soccer, hockey and baseball player; helped lead Edina to state hockey title in 1974 (1975 Edina-East grad)
- John Darkenwald: All-State lineman for EHS football team in 1964 (1965 grad)
- Doug King: former football, hockey and baseball player (1964 grad)
- Ron Kosteliz: former EHS football coach
- Brock Maiser: three-sport All-Lake Conference athete (1991 grad)
- Kate (Sandvig) Ohrt: former basketball and soccer player (2000 grad)
- Steve Paulsen: EHS tennis coach, has coached team to 15 consecutive state titles
