Six Edina Residents Skating in 1A State Hockey Championship
A substantial number of Edina natives are playing for the Blake Bears in the Class 1A state title game.
While the Edina High School girls hockey team sadly fell to Eden Prairie in the sectional tournament, several local skaters will be on the ice this weekend for the girls Class 1A championship game.
A total of six players on the Blake roster hail from Edina, including:
- Lilia Everson, #4, a sophomore
- Maddy Hall, #10, a senior
- Sylvie Wallin, #13, a freshman
- Carolyn Patterson, #16, a junior
- Kate Fraley, #19, a senior
- Davis Zosel, #30, a junior
After defeating Red Wing 6-3 in the tournament semifinals, the girls will face off against Warroad for the Class 1A title at noon Saturday, Feb. 23, at the Xcel Energy Center.
