Target Opening Thanksgiving Night for Black Friday Shoppers

Hours vary by location, but the Edina store will open at 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving.

After taking part in its first ever midnight opening in 2011, Target is getting Black Friday started even earlier this year. The retailer has announced plans to open many of its stores at 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving, including its Edina location.

Some of the enticing deals and discounts include a Nook Simple Touch E-Reader for just $49, a Nikon L310 Digital Camera for $99.99, a 4GB Xbox 360 and Kinect for $199 and a variety of DVDs ranging from $1 to $13.

While the doors are opening early, they will also close early. Thursday shopping will only run until 11 p.m., according to the website. The stores will then close and re-open Friday morning at 8 a.m. Stores close at 11 p.m. Friday.
