Unknown Suspect Dupes McDonald's, Taco Bell with Counterfeit Money
Police also responded to a report of a stolen 2006 Toyota Highlander in the 7700 block of Gleason Road.

Wednesday, Jan. 16
- Police responded to the 7000 block of York Avenue on a report of theft from auto. A phone valued at $600 was reported stolen from a vehicle.
- Police responded to the 5300 block of Edina Industrial Boulevard on a report of burglary. $127 in cash was taken by an unknown person.
- Police responded to the 4400 block of Parklawn Avenue on a report of a runaway juvenile.
- Police responded to Southdale Center on a report of a found driver's license.
- Police responded to South View Middle School on a report of theft. A phone valued at $299 was reportedly stolen from a student's gym bag by an unknown person.

- Anirudha Basu, 56, of Deerfield Beach, FL, was arrested for 3rd degree DWI and refusal to submit to a breathalyzer test after a traffic stop near Hwy. 100 and Hwy. 62.
- Daniel Joseph Champion, 18, of Minneapolis, was arrested for possession of a small amount of marijuana after a traffic stop near the intersection of 61st Street and Xerxes Avenue.
- Police responded to Edinborough Park on a report of theft. Water valves valued at $1,500 were taken from the area by unknown suspects.
- Police responded to the parking ramp near the Southdale Medical Building on a report of theft. Copper piping and valves valued at $5,350 were taken from the parking ramp by unknown suspects.
- An unidentified suspect brought firearms in to the Edina Police Department for disposal.
- Erica Lynn Donovan, 24, of Inver Grove Heights, was arrested for possession of burglary tools and theft after shoplifting $165 in clothing from Herberger's at Southdale Center.
- Police responded to the 6400 block of Cherokee Trail on a report of threatening phone calls.
- Police responded to Taco Bell on a report of a customer using a counterfeit $20 bill to purchase food.
- Police responded to McDonald's on a report of a customer using two counterfeit $20 bills to purchase food.
Friday, Jan. 18
- Police responded to Lund's on a report of theft from auto. An unknown suspect stole a wallet valued at $428 from a vehicle.
- Police responded to Valley View Middle School on a report of theft. An iPad valued at $407 was taken from a classroom at the middle school.
- Olivia Nicole Love, 19, of New Hope, and Kaela Monae Lewis, 20, of Minneapolis, were issued citations for disorderly conduct after allegedly taking part in a fight at JCPenney inside of Southdale Center.
- Police responded to the 7700 block of York Avenue on a report of theft. A wallet, phone and keys valued at $162 was taken from an unattended jacket by an unknown person.

- Police responded to the 7300 block of Bush Lake Road on a report of property damage. An unknown suspect damaged the door to a business.
- Police responded to LA Fitness on a report of theft from auto. A purse valued at $821 was stolen from a vehicle by an unknown person.
- Police responded to the 7700 block of Gleason Road on a report of vehicle theft. A 2006 Toyota Highlander which had been idling in a driveway was reportedly stolen by an unknown suspect. The vehicle was valued at $15,000.
Sunday, Jan. 20
- Ruben Moreno Vijarro Pagitt, 21, of Edina, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a small amount of marijuana after a traffic stop near the intersection of Olinger Boulevard and Sherman Circle.
