Warm Weather Brings Early End to Edina's Outdoor Skating Rinks
The City of Edina will close 12 of its rinks—with the exception of Centennial Lakes Park—at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Mar. 1.

The recent surge of warm weather is bringing an earlier-than-expected end to Edina's outdoor skating rinks, as they're slated to close for the season at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Mar. 1.
Still, it's a longer season than Edina usually sees. The city's 13 outdoor skating rinks typically are only open for skating until around Feb. 20.
The 12 rinks closing for the season Friday are located in the following parks:

- Cornelia School
- Countryside
- Creek Valley
- Highlands
- Lewis
- Normandale
- Pamela
- Strachauer
- Todd
- Walnut Ridge
- Weber
And for anyone who needs to sneak in a couple extra days of ice time, skating at Centennial Lakes Park will continue through Sunday, Mar. 3.
Lost and found items from the various warming houses will be available at the Parks and Recreation office in Edina City Hall through Friday, Mar. 22.
