Westin Edina Galleria Named 2012 'Property of the Year'

The four-star hotel was recognized for its service by the Minnesota Lodging Association.

The award-winning Westin Edina Galleria has earned yet another accolade, this time being named the 2012 Property of the Year by the Minnesota Lodging Association

The latest award bestowed upon the four-star hotel recognizes MLA properties that provide outstanding service, continually exceed guest expectations and distinguish themselves as leaders in both the industry and community.

"It is truly an honor to be recognized by our peers at the MLA," said Marc Faubert, general manager of the Westin Edina Galleria. "I believe this award is a reflection of the commitment of the hotel’s associates and managers to providing the best hotel experience for our guests."

Edina Mayor Jim Hovland said the hotel has been a popular venue for organizations hosting events, dating all the way back to its opening in 2008.

"The Westin Edina Galleria has been not only a welcome haven for business travelers, but it has also served as a center for community activity due to its banquet facilities," he said.

The hotel has earned a number of awards since it first opened, including being named the number one Westin in North America based on overall guest satisfaction in both 2010 and 2011. It has earned the AAA Four Diamond Award every year since 2009, was ranked on Twin Cities Business Magazine's list of top business hotels and Edina Patch readers rated it the best hotel in Edina during Readers' Choice voting earlier this year.
