Winter Neighborhood Night Out Pushed Back

The annual evening of socializing with neighbors in the great outdoors will now be held Friday, Jan. 25.

Unseasonably warm weather forced a delay for Edina's annual Winter Neighborhood Night Out last week. Instead, the winter tradition will take place next Friday, Jan. 25.

The popular event is put on by Edina's Parks & Recreation Department every year, featuring an evening of socializing, winter activities and free refreshments. The festivities run from 6:30-8 p.m. in four of Edina's community parks. 

The four participating parks include:

  • Normandale Park, 6501 Warren Avenue South
  • Pamela Park, 4301 West 58th Street
  • Weber Park, 4115 Grimes Avenue South
  • Walnut Ridge Park, 5801 Londonderry Road

Attendees at Normandale, Pamela and Weber parks will be able to snowshoe, thanks to equipment provided by Hoigaard's. Assorted refreshments will also be available at each of the four sites, including beverages and cookies courtesy of Jerry's Foods and other sponsors.
