Winter Storm Q Bringing 3-5 Inches of Snow to Twin Cities Thursday, Friday
A winter weather advisory is in effect from 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, through Friday, Feb. 22.

Edina is in store for anywhere between three and six inches of snow over the next couple of days, according to forecasters with the National Weather Service's Twin Cities office.
A winter system—dubbed Winter Storm Q—is slated to hit the area Thursday evening, lingering into Friday. Initial projections of as many as 10 inches of snow have been reduced over the last few days, with the storm tracking further south than anticipated.
"Snow will move into southern Minnesota Thursday evening and spread north-northeast across the area Thursday night," the National Weather Service reports. "Snow accumulation will occur mainly south of Interstate 94, where 3 to 5 inches of snow are now expected. Higher snow amounts are expected over south central Minnesota, where 4 to 6 inches of snow are expected through Friday."

* MAIN IMPACT: SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 3 TO 6 INCHES POSSIBLE BETWEEN THURSDAY EVENING AND FRIDAY AFTERNOON. THE HIGHER SNOW TOTALS ARE EXPECTED ALONG INTERSTATE 90.
