The Big Game

What: Edina High School vs. Minnetonka High School
When: 7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 21, 2012
Where: Kuhlman Stadium
Cost: $5 for students/seniors, $7 for adults, pre-schoolers get in free

Because of overwhelming community support, school officials expect to have a sellout crowd for the big game. Here's what you can expect on game night:

  • Jerseys do NOT get in free for homecoming.

  • Employee badges get staff member plus one family member into the stadium for free; additional tickets need to be purchased.

  • Tickets will go on sale and gates will open at 5:30pm. Get there early – there will be lines!

  • All students 8th grade and younger need an adult chaperone. The adult must purchase a ticket and enter the stadium with their student(s).

  • All students 9th grade and older must present a student ID. If a student ID is not present, they will not be allowed in the stadium.
  • New this year: Edina fans with a pass (including Booster, student and Lake Conference passes) can enter through ANY gate. The pass gate at the northwest corner of the stadium will still be open and only those fans with passes can enter through the pass gate.
  • Historically, the stadium sells out for homecoming, so be aware that…

    • There will be lines until the game sells out.

    • If someone purchases a ticket and delays entering the stadium, there is no guarantee they’ll be able to enter if the stadium reaches capacity. There will be no refunds.

    • The home side will sell out first. At that point, Edina fans will be directed to the visitor side.

  • After the stadium sells out, there is no entry for anyone, even if they have a pass. People will be allowed to enter the stadium as others exit, on a one-to-one basis.
  • The Dance

    What: Edina's Homecoming Dance
    When: 8:30-11:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 27

    Cost: $25 for students

The Homecoming Dance will take place from 8:30-11:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27, at Edina High School. Doors to EHS close at 10 p.m., at which point no admittance will be allowed.

Dance tickets—which run $25—are available for purchase to EHS students during lunch all week long. Keep in mind, tickets will NOT be available at the door, so buy early if you're planning to attend.
