
Call them a thief orΒ thieves that made a clean sweep earlier this monthΒ at a laundry room in the Village Green Apartments in Fridley.Β
According to a recentΒ Fridley Police Department log, "Sometime over the weekend (of Aug. 3), somebody entered the laundry room at the Village Green Apartments and removed the tops of two washing machines in order to steal attached coin boxes." The apartment complex is at the 6300 block of 5th St. NE.
At the time of the report, police said they had no suspects in the theft and criminal damage to property incident.Β

Aug. 1
Burglary at an unattached garage in the 7500 block of Tempo Terrace. "SomeoneΒ stole a GPS from the parked vehicle," police said.Β
Aug. 2Β
Terroristic threats-A male reportedly made verbal threats to a Fridley business owner "over a warranty of a product." The incident occurred in the 7000 block of Hwy. 65 NE.Β Β
Aug. 4
Indecent exposure-An adultΒ male was arrested and booked for indecent exposure in the 400 block of 71 Avenue NE.Β Β
Aug. 5
Panhandling-Police dispatched to the intersection of University Avenue NE and 57th Avenue NE on a report of two women soliciting money from drivers at the location. Police told theΒ two women they were violating the city ordinances and warned themΒ to not repeat that activity.Β
Aug. 7
Theft-A woman reported that a co-worker at the Fridley Old Country Buffet restaurantΒ was caught on surveillance tape stealing money from her purse. Police promised to investigate the matter.Β
