
Hennepin County and the city of Minneapolis will collect hazardous waste from residences later this week.
The collection is open to homes only, not businesses.
Some of the things that will be accepted are:

- Lawn and garden products
- Items containing mercury
- Electronics
- Auto and fuel waste.

The collection event will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Saturday at Dunwoody College of Technology, 818 Dunwoody Blvd.Â
Hennepin County's permanent, year-round drop-off facilities are at 1400 W. 96th St., Bloomington; and 8100 Jefferson Highway, Brooklyn Park.Â
