Every town has its traditions. Check out these fun facts about what makes Golden Valley so special.

Golden Valley is a place like no other. And whether you grew up here, recently moved to the area or you’re just an occasional visitor, you know that Golden Valley has its own special traditions and history that make it so unique.
A few things to know:
- Golden Valley is home to a renowned golf course called Brookview Golf Course, which was rated as one of the best public courses in the country by “Golf Digest.” Today, the golf course still remains a popular destination for golf enthusiasts, and also offers lawn bowling, a community center and a banquet hall for events.
- If you're a fan of the arts, you might be excited to know that Golden Valley has its own arts center called the Perpich Center for Arts Education. This unique institution offers arts education and professional development opportunities for K-12 students, as well as public exhibitions and performances throughout the year.
- If you're looking for a fun outdoor activity, check out Golden Valley's Theodore Wirth Regional Park. This expansive park features hiking and biking trails, cross-country skiing, a golf course, a beach and even a tubing hill in the winter!
- The Golden Valley Farmers Market is a popular destination for locals and visitors alike. Held every Sunday from May through October, the market features a wide range of fresh produce, artisanal goods and live music.
- If you're interested in history, be sure to check out the Golden Valley Historical Society. This nonprofit organization is dedicated to preserving the city's rich past, and offers a variety of educational programs and events throughout the year.
