Juvenile Shot At Park In Golden Valley: Police

Police are asking residents to check their surveillance cameras.

GOLDEN VALLEY, MN — A juvenile was found suffering from a gunshot wound in a Golden Valley park early Sunday morning, according to police.

Officers responded around 4 a.m. to reports of gunshots at Lions Park in the 100 block of Louisiana Avenue North, where they found the injured minor, police said, adding the boy was taken to a hospital and his wound was not life-threatening.

Officers later found two males in Brooklyn Park with gunshot injuries that were also not life-threatening, according to police.

"This appears to be an isolated incident, and there are no outstanding suspects or threat to the neighborhood,” Chief Virgil Green said in a news release.

Golden Valley, Brooklyn Park and Hennepin County authorities are working together on the investigation, according to law enforcement, who asked residents with surveillance cameras near the park to contact Golden Valley police if they have any potentially helpful footage.
