FOX 9 Reporter And Anchor Leaving Station After Nearly 3 Years

Se Kwon confirmed she will leave FOX 9 later this month following nearly three years at the Twin Cities station.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — A popular face at FOX 9 Minnesota is heading south.

After nearly three years at the Twin Cities station, reporter and anchor Se Kwon announced she is leaving FOX 9 and moving to Chicago to join FOX 32’s morning team.

"After nearly three years, my time at FOX 9 is coming to an end," she wrote in a social media post.

Reporting in her home state, she said, was "the greatest honor," reflecting on stories that spanned moments of grief and joy and the people who trusted her with their stories.

She said she will be joining FOX 32 Chicago as a reporter and host, calling it her "next adventure."

Her final day at FOX 9 is Friday, Dec. 26.

“Thank you Minnesota,” she wrote.

Kwon, a Minnesota native who was born in South Korea, graduated from Blaine High School and later earned a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of North Dakota, according to her FOX 9 bio.

She joined FOX 9 after working at WDAY, the ABC affiliate in Fargo.
