We appreciate your flexibility and partnership as we extend our shift to distance learning through Friday, Jan. 28. Your student will join class virtually each morning next week (Jan 25 - 28) at 9:20 a.m. for a morning meeting by doing the following on their device:

  • Specialist Classes will occur following their normal schedule based upon the 5 day cycle.

  • Classroom teachers will communicate the daily schedule with students and families via Seesaw or Schoology and review the day’s schedule during morning meetings.Β 

  • Students who receive special services (e.g. Special education, EL) will receive additional information from service providers.

  • Change in school day format Friday January 21st

    Classes will meet until noon tomorrow, Friday, January 21st. Asynchronous work will be provided for the remainder of the day in order to provide teachers with additional planning time for next week’s change in learning model.

    Student Support Centers

    Buildings will be open beginning Tuesday, Jan. 25 from 9:20 a.m. - 1:40 p.m. for students who may need additional in-person support. Our school will communicate individually with families that are eligible for additional support. Students will receive transportation, breakfast,Β  lunch, and recess while attending the Support Center.Β 

    Transportation

    Bus transportation for the Student Support Centers will run using the normal routes in the morning, starting Tuesday, Jan. 25. Students in the support centers will be released two hours early and transported home by school bus.

    Please continue to check the Durham bus app. If there are any cancellations, we will communicate those changes on the app and by email and robocalls as we have this school year.Β

  • Cooper High School (8230 47th Avenue N, New Hope, MN 55428)

    • Tuesday-Friday, daily from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the main entrance.

  • Sandburg Middle School (2400 Sandburg Lane, Golden Valley, MN 55427)

    • Tuesday-Friday, daily from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Wednesday 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the rear of the building at Door 20.

  • Plymouth Middle School (10011 36th Avenue N, Plymouth, MN 55441)

    • Tuesday-Friday, daily from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the main entrance.

  • Robbinsdale Middle School (3730 Toledo Avenue N, Robbinsdale, MN 55422)

    • Tuesday-Friday, daily from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Door 16 located at the back of the building closest to Regent Ave.

  • Lakeview Elementary (4110 Lake Drive Robbinsdale, MN 55422)

    • Tuesday-Friday, daily from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Wednesday 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the main entrance.

  • Meadow Lake Elementary (8525 62nd Avenue, New Hope, MN 55428)

    • Tuesday-Friday, daily from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Door 5 located at the side parking lot from the marked window.

  • Northport Elementary (5421 Brooklyn Blvd. Brooklyn Center, MN 55429)

    • Tuesday-Friday, daily from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the main entrance.

  • Forest Elementary (6800 47th Avenue N. Crystal, MN 55428)

    • Tuesday-Friday, daily from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the main entrance.

  • Continued COVID reporting

    During this extended time of distance learning, we ask families and staff to continue to fill out a COVID report in the event of a positive case or household contact with someone who is COVID positive/symptomatic, or if you (staff) or your student is experiencing symptoms. Please visit rdale.org/covid/reporting-form to find the reporting form for your school. This will allow the district to maintain accurate data moving forward.

    In the event your student shows symptoms or tests positive, our COVID reporting form can be accessed on the district website. For additional information, please review the district’s COVID exposure document.

    Materials

    Your child’s teacher will let you know if any additional necessary materials are available for pick up at school. Materials can be picked up at school starting Monday 1/24/21 at 12:00pm - 4:00 pm. Materials can also be picked up on Tuesday and Wednesday between 8:30 and 4:00.Β
