• Celebrating the light's return: Good Harbor Hill Players' annual solstice puppet show and community gathering set for December 21 (boreal.org) — Grand Marais residents are invited to the Good Harbor Hill Players’ free Winter Solstice Shadow Puppet Show on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at 6 p.m. at North House Folk School. Expect a bear-themed story, live music, outdoor viewing, an indoor community potluck, and a chance to burn written “gloomies” in a traditional fire.
