• Northern Minnesota DFL chair resigns amid vehicular homicide case (bringmethenews.com) — A 65-year-old Grand Rapids woman, Cyndy Martin, has resigned as northern Minnesota’s 8th District DFL chair while facing a vehicular homicide charge in the 2024 death of a pedestrian near Nashwauk. She reportedly called police the next morning, saying she thought she’d hit an animal. Party leaders thanked her for past service as the case moves toward trial in Itasca County.
