A variety of camps from Hopkins Community Education centered on sports, cooking, education, art, creative activities and more.

9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Ages: Students entering grades 6 – 10 This service camp will explore the servant leadership style of Jesus through visual arts, theology classes and daily service trips. The camp is divided into a 6-8th grade track and Fun in the Son II, a more intensive service camp for grades 9-10. The two camps work cooperatively, but most activities keep camps independent from each other. The final afternoon offers a closing prayer service.

9 a.m. – Noon Ages: Students entering grades 3 - 7 Explore your inner actor! Students attending BSM’s Drama Camp will explore a variety of theater-related activities, including pantomime, vocal performance, auditioning skills, movement/choreography, and stage makeup. All participants will receive a T-shirt and instruction from current theater department staff as well as recent theater department graduates. A performance showcasing skills learned will be held on the final day of camp.

Ages: Students entering grades 5 – 8. 9:30 a.m. – Noon. The BSM coaching staff and current and former varsity players will instruct campers on the finer points of fast-pitch softball, including catching, throwing, bunting, hitting, base running, pitching, postioning, fielding responsibilities and the overall sport dynamics. Campers will receive a camp T-shirt.
Ages: Students entering grades 5 – 9. 9 a.m. – Noon. The BSM varsity coaching staff as well as the former and current varsity players will instruct campers on the finer points of the game of lacrosse. Daily instruction will focus on fundamentals, individual skills and team play. All campers will receive a T-shirt and participate in daily games.

Ages: Students entering grades 6 – 8. 9 a.m. – Noon. Head coach Scott Helling-Christy will direct this comprehensive soccer camp run by girls’ assistant and goalkeeper coach Anne Erickson and coach Steve Vuolo. Current and former high school varsity soccer players will help campers develop in the technical and tactical aspects of the game. All campers will receive a skills booklet, a program yearbook and camp gear. Individual, specific goalkeeper training will also be provided.
Ages: Students entering grades 5 – 9. 9 a.m. – Noon. All campers receive a T-shirt and a basketball. Daily games and contests focus on offensive and defensive fundamentals. Head Coach Bob Lyons and the BSM coaching staff will run the camp with assistance from varsity players.

Dates: June 10 – 21, M – F Time: 9 – 10:30 a.m. Ages: Students entering grades 3 – 6 Time: 10:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Ages: Students entering grades 7 – 9 All campers receive a basketball, individual evaluations, and T-shirts. (For those registering before May 20, your T-shirt will include your last name.) Head coach John Moore (’74) and the BSM coaching staff will conduct camp with assistance from college players and current/former varsity players. The first week of camp will emphasize individual skill development through station work. Week two will consist of individual and team competition. A camp for senior high players is also available. June 10-14. Ages: Students entering grades 7 – 9; 8 – 10 a.m. The BSM football camp will provide a non-contact learning environment focusing on skills, techniques and teamwork. The emphasis will be on fundamentals. All campers will receive a T-shirt, and awards are given daily.
June 17-21. Ages: Students entering grades 9 – 10; Time: 8 – 10 a.m. June 17-21. Ages: Students entering grades 6 – 8. Time: 1 – 3 p.m. The BSM’s varsity coaching staff provides camp instruction. Campers will receive a T-shirt.
July 15-18: Ages: Students entering grades 3 – 8. 1 – 3:30 p.m. BSM varsity coaches and athletes will lead a fun-filled week of games, instruction and contests. T-shirts will be awarded to all participants.
