Family, friends, and community gathered at Hopkins High School this morning to cheer on Royal alum Joe Klecker as he competed in the Olympic 10,000m race. It was a beautiful sight to behold as Royal Runners past and present watched one of their own compete on the world's greatest stage. The room was ecstatic as Joe crossed the finish line, completing his first Olympic race. Joe raced admirably against the sport's most elite competition, finishing in 16th place. We are so proud of Joe and his accomplishments. We believe this is only the beginning of his Olympic career.
