Jim Waldemarsen will be in charge of developing, deploying and overseeing Comcast's smart home services.

Longtime Inver Grove Heights resident Jim Waldemarsen was named head of Comcast's Xfinity Home service for the Twin Cities on Monday morning.
According to a statement from Comcast, "Xfinity Home is a broadband-based home security and management system that not only includes traditional security services like police and fire alarm protection, but also offers the ability to remotely access in-home energy management."
Waldemarsen—who began his career as a cable technician—previously held the position of Technical Operations Manager for Comcast’s Southwest Technical Operations Center in St. Louis Park.
