Inver Grove McDonald's Dishing up Free Backpacks to 100 Kids Saturday

The backpacks should move faster than Big Macs or Egg McMuffins, and these school supplies are definitely limited.

Minnesota McDonald's restaurants are getting into the back to school spirit this Saturday, as 200 stores around the Twin Cities are giving away free backpacks.

Each McDonald's has at least 100 backpacks. They will start giving them away at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3, at the Inver Grove location on Cahill Avenue.

Each child, in kindergarten to eighth grade, will get one backpack, as long as supplies last.

"School-age child must be accompanied by a parent," according to a McDonald's news release.
