Dog experts out there, what advice can you give me to combat his digging and chewing?

What was once a beautiful little puppy has morphed into something that is part-time devil, part-time trickster and full-time pain in the rump.
Seven months ago I rescued a two-month-old Belgian Malinois from Brooklyn Park-based Midwest Animal Rescue & Services.
I got an amazing puppy that was intelligent, cuddly, curious and full of energy. He ate everything put in front of him, listened to direction and was potty-trained after just a day.

Then it happened—he turned nine months old.
I named my little guy Kuma which means Bear in Japanese, but, as it turns out, something like Lucifer would have been more appropriate.

The dog I once deemed "my perfect puppy" is still curious and full of energy, but now he appears to have contracted some form of acute doggy ADHD, makes my yard resemble the surface of the moon and spends more time eating my outdoor furniture cushions than his Fromm Family dog food.
There are times when I find myself staring at him, mouth agape, just shaking my head at his misbehavior.
I'm probably exaggerating the extent of the problem and, the fact is, I love him and I'll never get rid of him ... but he's making me nuts!
