Update: Third Home Invasion Suspect Says He's Not Guilty
Not only did Soloman Campbell, 28, waive his right to a speedy trial, he retained private counsel and will not be tried alongside suspects Maurice Thunder and George Head.
Update (June 27) 28-year-old Soloman Campbell pleaded not guilty June 26 to participating in a that left residents bloodied and battered.
Campbell is scheduled to appear at an omnibus hearing on Oct. 8, a settlement conference on Oct. 31 and, if necessary, a jury trial on Dec. 10.
Campbell is charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and first-degree burglary.

According to a Dakota County criminal complaint, Campbell was taken into custody at the scene after officer's ordered him to stop. He was in possession of a laptop computer at the time of his arrest.
His alleged accomplices, Arlin Maurice Thunder, 38, and George Head, 30, were arrested shortly after Campbell was taken into custody.

Thunder and Head pleaded not guilty on June 12 but each invoked his right to a speedy trial.
Not only did Campbell waive his right to a speedy trial, he retained private counsel and will not be tried alongside Thunder and Head.
If convicted of the most serious offense—first degree burglary—Campbell could face up to 20 years in prison and be ordered to pay a $35,000 fine.

Two Plead Not Guilty To South St. Paul Home Invasion (June 20, 2012)
Two of the four men accused in a May 18 home invasion in South St. Paul that left residents bloodied and battered pleaded not guilty to the crimes with which they're charged.
Arlin Maurice Thunder, 38, and Robert George Head, 30, pleaded not guilty to first-degree assault, second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and first-degree burglary before invoking their respective rights to a speedy trial.
Dakota County District Court Judge Tim Wermager scheduled a settlement conference for both men for July 11. If a jury trial becomes necessary, Thunder's will begin July 30 with Head's trial to follow on Aug. 6.
The third man arrested in connection with the home invasion, Soloman Daniel Campbell, 28, is scheduled to make his first court appearance on June 26.
Campbell was taken into custody after complying with responding officers' demands to stop after the four men fled the home.
The fourth man officers saw at the scene has not been located.
According to a Dakota County criminal complaint, police apprehended Thunder and Head shortly after they fled the scene. Thunder's clothing was allegedly spattered with blood.
A bloody metal pipe was later recovered under an overpass.
According to the complaint, one of the victims was found unconscious, shirtless and covered in blood. The complaint says he had several wounds to the head and appeared to have broken ribs.
The second victim told police the men forced him to the ground at gunpoint and proceeded to assault him with a metal pipe.
