Another DWI Arrest for Long Lake Woman

The 48-year-old has had her license revoked three times for similar offenses.

A Long Lake woman who has had her licensed revoked at least three times for driving under the the influence of alcohol faces a first-degree felony charge of driving while intoxicated.

Kristine Knollenberg, 48, was pulled over just before 6 p.m Saturday near Excelsior after police say they observed her vehicle speeding on County Road 19.

The arresting officer, in court documents filed this week, reported detecting the smell of alcohol and found Knollenberg’s license to be revoked. A subsequent search of her car found a small amount of marijuana. Police say she admitted, during a recorded interview, to consuming two beers and two shots of liquor before driving.

Knollenberg most recently had her license revoked in 2008. The new charges, aggravated by her previous offenses, could result in a prison sentence of up to 10 years.
