The anchor said Friday will be her final day on 5 Eyewitness News after four years at the station.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Hanna Conway, a familiar face to morning commuters across the Twin Cities, announced she is leaving her role as a traffic reporter at KSTP-TV after four years at the station.

Conway shared the news in a social media post, saying Friday will be her final day on 5 Eyewitness News mornings.

"After four amazing years, it’s time for me to say goodbye to my role as a traffic reporter at KSTP," Conway wrote. "I’m so grateful for the experience and for the coworkers who became true friends."

Conway joined KSTP in September 2021, returning to her hometown after spending more than three years as a morning traffic anchor and reporter on "Good Morning Colorado" at KRDO in Colorado Springs. She previously interned at KSTP in 2016 on "Twin Cities Live."

"It has been an honor to be back in my hometown doing what I love," she wrote.

A graduate of the University of Missouri, Conway worked at KOMU 8 News while attending Mizzou and later for Reuters in Brussels while studying abroad, according to her bio on KSTP.

In 2016, she reported from the scene of the Brussels Airport bombing using her phone. She also won a Colorado Broadcasters Association award in 2017 for her website work.

Conway said she plans to share more details about her next steps in the coming weeks.

"As for what’s next, I’m trusting in God’s plan," she wrote. "I’m thankful for the opportunity, the growth, and every lesson along the way."

She added that viewers may see "tiny visitors" make an appearance during her final on-air days. Conway gave birth to her second child with her husband earlier this year.
