Extra, Extra, Read All About It: Orono H.S. has Award-Winning Newspaper

Spartan Speaks, the student newspaper of Orono High School, was named one of the state’s best student publications by the Minnesota High School Press Association.

The award was announced at the organization’s state convention Oct. 9 at the University of Minnesota.

In the “Best of Show” category for newspapers, OHS finished eighth, besting many public and private schools from both the metro area and around the state.

OHS English teacher Kyle Ann Herring is the Spartan Speaks advisor.
