Orono Future Stars Shine in Weekend Tournaments
Three teams, three tournaments, three impressive performances.
Orono continued to flex its baseball muscle over the weekend. Among the impressive showings turned in, the 11AA team won the Richfield tournament.
Coached by Robb Hirschberg, Tim Fafinski and Ryan Simafranca, the team's top finish secures a berth in the MBT State Championship Tournament. Bobby Striggow and Eddison Steele both had over the fence home runs in the team's big win.
The 11AA team's win was one of several impressive performances turned in recently by Orono teams.

The 12A team took first place in the East Ridge Tournament over the weekend, and Orono's 10A team took second place in the Chaska tournament.
