Save the Date: Animal Open House and Egg Hunt this Weekend

Family-friendly events include a chance to get up close with some interesting critters.

Mrs. M’s Animal Open House & Egg Hunt takes place this Saturday, April 14, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the South Shore Community Center near Excelsior. This is a free event with a donation to the ICA Food Shelf (collecting food for people and pets).

This annual event features llamas, rabbits, turtles and even toads. Shows run every 45 minutes with fun facts and prizes to take home. This year’s animal open house and egg hunt is at a new location, the South Shore Community Center in Shorewood. Pizza and ice cream will be served courtesy of Joey Novas, and proceeds from the food will help send needy kids to camp.

“Our new location at the South Shore Community Center features a large open area for your family to enjoy all of the animals,” said Mrs M. “We are excited to bring the community together and support the ICA while learning about animals.”

Located across from the Excelsior Fire District House and next to the Minnetonka Country Club, the South Shore Community Center is where Mrs. M’s camps take place all year long.
