Patch kicks off a week of fishing coverage and discussion.

Activity around Lake Minnetonka surges this week ahead of an annual tradition that will launch thousands of boats onto one of Minnesota’s signature lakes.Â
Always a popular destination for the fishing opener, traffic on Lake Minnetonka could be particularly high this year. Local forecasts call for temperatures in the mid 60s for Friday, Saturday and Sunday with lows near 50. Parts of the state could see scattered thunderstorms Friday afternoon and evening.
