Wayzata's Thursday Hockey Games Cancelled After Injury to BSM Player
The JV and Varsity boy's hockey games against Benilde-St. Margaret were cancelled because of bad injury for one BSM player and his teammates not being ready to play yet.

match up against varsity and junior varsity boys hockey games for Thursday were cancelled, as BSM school officials didn't feel its players were ready to take the ice after teammate Jack Jablonski was seriously injured during the last game.
Jablonski, a 16-year-old sophomore, was paralyzed by a hit he took in a junior varsity game against Wayzata on Dec. 30. He underwent surgery Wednesday at the Hennepin County Medical Center and is .
Ric Lager, a parent of a BSM junior varsity player, said there was a team and parent meeting Wednesday afternoon and they decided that players are not yet emotionally ready to take the ice.

Initially, the BSM varsity game was scheduled to go on, with the Red Knights to wear honorary patches on their sleeves (see image at right).

On Twitter, there has been a wave of support for Jablonski, with people using the hashtag #jabs to post updates. Through the social networking site, a "whiteout" was planned for Thursday, and people were encouraged to wear white in honor of Jablonski.
Bracelets are also being sold by several BSM students to raise money for the Jablonski family.
