Just before the crash, the Burnsville Police Department said it was investigating a noise complaint from Best Western Premier Nicollet Inn. Then, three teens got into a car and sped off, police said.
Officers later responded to a car crash and believed it was the same car that sped away from the hotel, according to officials.
Kohner was pronounced dead at the scene and the two others were brought to Hennepin County Medical Center with severe injuries, authorities said.
The Minnesota State Patrol is assisting with the investigation.
