Affinity Plus to Hold Tech Drive for Education at Lakeville Branch

The third-annual Tech Drive for Education hosted by Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union (Affinity Plus) will take place at Affinity Plus branches throughout Minnesota in the month of May for Teacher Appreciation Month in partnership with Minnesota Tech for Success, a nonprofit creating digital equity for Minnesota students. The Lakeville event takes place on Saturday, May 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Affinity Plus branch located at 17555 Kenwood Trail West.

Started in 2020 to address underserved classrooms’ remote learning challenges, the Tech Drive for Education is committed to showing appreciation for Minnesota’s teachers this year by providing their classrooms and students with the tech they need to succeed.

During each event, community members are encouraged to stop by the branches’ parking lots and donate their unwanted tech devices – including laptops, desktops, cell phones, tablets, LCD monitors, mice and keyboards – to be repurposed for classrooms across Minnesota. Donors will receive Affinity Plus swag, exchange high fives with staff and special guests and be rewarded with lollipops and treats for pups!
