Lakeville South Dominates North, Heads to State Hockey Tournament
Lakeville South's boys hockey team beat North Thursday night in the Section 1AA final.

Three is a charm. At least for 's varsity boys hockey team it is.
The Cougars dominated on Thursday night, winning the section 1AA title and a berth in the State Boys High School Hockey Tournament.
Each of the past two seasons, North beat South with the trip to state on the line, but this year was different. Mr. Hockey finalist, and University of Minnesota recruit, Justin Kloos had a goal and three assists in the 7-1 victory at the Rochester Recreation Center.

Charlie Hayes had the lone goal for the Panthers, which finish the season with a 14-14-0 record. It's unknown who South, 20-8-0, will face in the first round of the state tournament, but the first quarterfinal game will be held at the Excel Energy Center on Thursday, March 8.
