Meeting Preview: Council to Consider Two New Developments

At meetings this week, the City Council is expected to approve two new developments in town, while the School Board handles a lease agreement at a special meeting.

Lakeville's City Council meets tonight at 7 p.m. at for a somewhat routine meeting where the group is expected to approve two new plats in different stages of development.

First, the council will consider a resolution approving preliminary and final plat of a new, but small housing development called Kenora Ridge. The play calls for three new single family homes to be built on three-quarters of an acre of land along Kenora Way, just east of 163rd Street West and South of 162nd Street West.

The second plat calls for 111 new single family lots as part of the second phase of the Crescent Ridge development along Holyoke Avenue, just south of 190th Street West.

Staff recommends the approval of both developments.

The Council will also hear the Fire Department's annual report.

During a special meeting at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the , the School Board will consider a resolution approving and authorizing the execution of a master lease purchase agreement.

is looking into the agreement up for consideration as there wasn't further description or supporting documents sent with the agenda, or available on the district's website.

The city of Lakeville's Finance Committee also meets this week at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, at the .
