Patch Match: Kids 'n Kinship Seeks Mentors for Youth

Interests: They have a variety of interests including swimming, biking, ice skating, hockey, soccer, volleyball, drawing, watching movies, and listening to music.
Personality/Characteristics: They are sisters who want to be matched together. They are bilingual, speaking Spanish at home and English at school. Rose is outgoing and active; Mary is shy and sweet.

Goals/Dreams: Mary is on the dance team at school and wants a pony. Rose loves music and wants to go to a Christopher Drew concert.
Looking for: A mentor family, couple or individual who knows some spanish would be the best match in order to communication effectively with their mom. They have been waiting almost 2 years!
Information: This child is one of almost 50 children currently waiting for a mentor through Kids ‘n Kinship, a private non-profit serving Apple Valley, Burnsville, Eagan, Farmington, Lakeville and Rosemount in Dakota County for 40 years. If you're interested in becoming a mentor, you're invited to attend an information session on Jan. 31, 6-6:45 p.m. at the Wescott Library in Eagan. Mentors can volunteer as individuals, couples, or families for weekly fun and enriching activities at home or in the community on their own schedules.
