Two Lakeville Athletes Take Titles at State Track Finals
One North and one South athlete secured titles.

The 2011 Minnesota State High School League Boys and Girls Track and Field Championships came to a close Saturday, and both Lakeville North and South didn't leave empty-handed in the Class AA finals.
Lakeville South's Lee Barnes took first place in the boys pole vault, finishing at 15 feet even.

On the girls' side, Nicole Naatjes of Lakeville North also captured the first place title in the pole vault, leaping a 11 feet 9 inches in the final competition.
Overall, the Lakeville South boys team finished with a team ranking of 24th with an overall score of 15 points. Stillwater won the title with a score of 47. North didn't qualify to compete for the team title.

On the girls side, Lakeville North finished 5th with a total score of 33 points, and Lakevilel South finished 16th with 21 points. Hopkins won the title with 84 points.
