5 Juveniles Arrested In Mendota Heights Burglary: Police
The teens took property from a resident's house and stole their car.
MENDOTA HEIGHTS, MN β Five juveniles were arrested Monday in connection with a residential burglary on the 1800 Block of South Lane in Mendota Heights, the city's police department said.
Police were dispatched around 3 p.m. and the caller told officers that a male took things from the house and stole their car, according to authorities.
Officers found the car in the area and tried to pull it over, police said. The driver didn't pull over and sped off, leading to a pursuit, police said.

Officers followed the car to Highway 13 and Interstate 35E, where the vehicle "became disabled" and all five juveniles tried to run away, according to officials.
The suspects were all ages 14-17 and were tracked down and arrested, authorities said. They are charged with burglary, motor vehicle theft, possession of stolen property, and fleeing, according to police.

The Mendota Heights Police Department released a statement Monday before the arrests saying:
"We have an active police and fire incident in the area of Sibley Memorial Highway and Victoria Road. Officers, a K9 and State Patrol Helicopter are in the area searching for several suspects involved in a burglary from one of our residents. Please stay out of the area and we will update you here as soon as we have more information."
The stolen property and car were returned to the owners, officials said.
