After-School Activities for ISD 197 Cancelled Friday

DAKOTA COUNTY, MN β€” All after-school activities in Independent School District 197 have been cancelled for Friday due to the snow storm, according to a text message sent out to parents.

"Due to forecasted snow accumulations, all after-school activities, School-Age Care, Community Education classes, and facility rentals are cancelled today. If you have a child in SAC, please arrange to have them picked up at the end of the school day," the text said.

In an email sent out, the district said that the vaccination clinic planned for 3-7 p.m. on Friday at Moreland Arts & Health Sciences Magnet School will still be taking place.

The district urged families to be careful on the roads and stay home from the clinic if roads become too dangerous.

"Families are urged to assess the road conditions to determine if it is safe to drive to the clinic," the email said. "There is no obligation to get the vaccine today as there are other options available."
