County Accepts $3.5M For West St. Paul Crisis Center: Report

DAKOTA COUNTY, MN — Dakota County recently accepted $3.5 million in funding from the state for a mental health crisis center in West Saint Paul, according to a report by The Minneapolis Star Tribune.

The county hopes to finish the project by 2024 and this facility will replace a center in South Saint Paul, the report said.

The total cost of the project is $7.6 million and would have 16 beds for adults having a mental health or substance abuse crises, according to the report.

Two locations are being considered for the new center-off of Livingston Avenue and off of Mendota Road, the publication reported.
