Weekend Construction, Marathon Cause Major Mendota Heights Highway Closures
Motorists should make note of a few significant highway closures this weekend.
Mendota Heights motorists should plan their weekend driving routes to avoid significant local closures announced Wednesday afternoon.
Interstate 35 East will be under construction starting at 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5, from Shepard Road to Interstate 94. The roadwork requires the highway's full closure in both directions, Mendota Heights officials said. It will reopen to drivers at 5 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 8.
On Saturday, Aug. 6, a northbound closure will begin at Highway 110, with both Highway 110 and Highway 13 ramps scheduled to be blocked from 3 a.m. until noon to make way for marathoners along Shepard Road.
