Osseo Area Schools ISD 279: Osseo Area Schools Hosts First Annual Winter Job Fair
The human resources team will share information about employment opportunities and benefits at this in-person event.
February 10, 2022
Osseo Area Schools is seeking to fill teaching and non-teaching positions across the district including educational support staff, custodians, and food services. Students, families, community members, and job seekers are invited to attend the Winter Job Fair on Feb. 12 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Educational Service Center in Maple Grove, (11200 93rd Ave. N).
With nearly 200 employment opportunities available, recruitment and retention manager Susan Hang is excited to plan and organize the Winter Job Fair for the first time. The human resources team will share information about employment opportunities and benefits at this in-person event.
“We wanted to welcome people to our building to learn about Osseo’s jobs, benefits, and diverse work that the district does,” said Hang.
The Winter Job Fair gives departments, especially those that have been significantly impacted by COVID-19, more visibility and provides an opportunity to get more attention to positions that often go overlooked.
Of the departments that will be in attendance, Nutrition Services has 18 vacancies. During the 2021-22 school year, breakfast and lunch have been provided to students at no cost, making a meaningful impact on students. Irfan Chaudhry, assistant director of Nutrition Services, described his unit as an “ideal place to work for anyone.”
“Nutrition Services, with its flexible hours, great benefits, competitive wages, and great working culture, makes for an ideal place to work for anyone. We are hoping to connect with the community and also use their help to find some motivated people to fill several vacancies,” Chaudhry stated.
“If you are looking for meaningful work, benefits, and opportunities, you should attend.”
